  Checking fit of front side curtain fabric.jpg - Here is the gap I'll have at the top rather than fitting under the flange. The side curtain window stitches do line up pretty well with the metal frames. It is important to test fit the fabric while fitting the frames. Again, if I were starting over I may have test fit the side curtains when I installed the hood, but I'm honestly not sure I would have known what I was looking for. Here the inner metal stay should clear the surface of the door, and the fabric should meet the top door edge. The frame should cover the stitiching placed by the manufacturer in the side curtain. You only have 1/4 inch to play with.
