The first time I laid eyes on Chip, at my friend Van Lawless' hangar in September of 2015. Van was storing him for Jen, the daughter who inherited N4608D from her father. It wasn't love at first sight, but I visited him on each of my next business trips to North Carolina, and eventually he sort of grew on me; enough that I scheduled an 'annual inspection' trip to really look him over.
