Drain stops at wrong position
  sanding gasket so drain orients.jpg - Some 220 grit sandpaper to take the washer down. Took about ten fittings to get it right. Seems I took off about 30 degrees of rotation at a time. I hope the fiber washer is still thick enough to do its job. It never occured to me to add some teflon tape to help the situation. Oh well, something to consider if I have a problem.
