  Bonnet corner protection delemma.jpg - The bonnet corner buffers install with a split rivet, not the screws and nuts that I had originally. Looking at the buffers, one side has a circular cut out, and the other side is flush, but has a 'unfinished' ridge in the corners. You may be able to see it in this picture. I decided that the cut out must go to the outside of the panel, so I fetched a 1/8th rivet washer from my pop rivet kit.
