Found a variety of suggestions on line trying one out
  Ears to the rear and then install cross member and tilt into place and bolt.jpg - By installing with the 'ears to the rear' on the butterfly, and then installing the difficult to reach rear bolts to the gearbox (closest to the overdrive) the cross member is installed, allowing the mounting rubbers to swivel into position. From here it is only a matter of selecting the front or rear mounting rubber holes in the cross member.
