Trying to decide which way the splines align 01
  Trying to decide which way the splines align 02.jpg - Close to the correct alignment; but by trying several combinations of alighments, I got to one that worked well. Then per Mike Hirschman's suggestion, I greased up the splines on the output shaft really, really well, as well as greasing the cam lobe. Once the OD was on the adapter and within 3/16 of an inch or so, it is time to get the OD pump roller to engage the cam.
