Ready for more work
Oil showing at the rockers while getting oil pressure for the first time. The pooling of oil at the rear is due to filling the engine with oil. Without a pressure gauge this is the best way to confirm pressure prior to start.
After getting oil pressure, I'm checking my valve setting of .010
2000 RPM for 20 minutes to bed the cam. The mechanical tach was pretty much inline with the dwell tach (although the mecvhanical tach is not yet installed, I tested it in my hand).
This is just before the plastic pipe from my shop vac melted... while doing the cam bedding and setting up the fuel and idle, and timing. I finally ended up at 16 BTDC at 800 RPM, and 33 BTDC at all in. Balanced the carbs, and set the mixture.
