Nearly a year later and Sammy is now in the garage for his refurbishment. I already know I'm getting rid of the Weber, and I've got a Eurospec intake and exhaust put together for him. I'm going to stay with the darker Saphire blue that the PO was using, but ditch the interior work done to date and start over with a little higher quality of trim.

Body Straightening panels, paint, trim and bumpers. All the cosmetic and finish stuff. (345 Images)	Engine The engine was supposedly rebuilt, years ago. Since the rocker cover was completely glued on, I'm doubting the quality of the work already. (485 Images)	Gearbox and Clutch Gearbox and clutch. I believe I'm heading toward removing both. I wish I could justify springing for an overdrive. (127 Images)	Prop shaft The prop shaft is a bit different from other cars I've restored as the engine and rear end are fixed with respect to each other and both unsprung. It will be interesting to delve into this little unit completely. (18 Images)	Differential There was slop in the differential, so I deciced to replace the shims around the differential assembly. On some you have to remove the crown wheel as well. I did it without a case spreader, by carefully levering in the unit. (68 Images)
Fuel System The Carburetors, fuel lines and tank, pump, even the accelerator pedal. (188 Images)	Chassis On the way to visit Marco Sandblasting to clean up the chassis, it was discovered just how crooked and mishapen the poor rig had become. Mike took it over to Centerline Truck & Auto of Vadnais Heights, MN (651-487-9492) where Dave and Greg pulled the sway, leveled the chassis throughout, and repaired numerous buckles on both sides of front suspension. (22 Images)	Suspension The front and rear suspension builds. (204 Images)	Steering The steering wheel is in amazing shape, but a new horn ring is needed. The rack is fine, but in general, everything will be freshened. (32 Images)	Brakes The brake system completely rebuilt and filled with silicone DOT 5.0 fluid. There will be some clutch pedal pictures here also, as they are related. (206 Images)
Wheels Need to decide if we are keeping the stock 4.5 x 13 inch wheels, or going big. It appears however that one lug nut has lost its taper, and all need chroming. (27 Images)	Electrical Electrical system, lights all the wiring. I'll probably repair the loom and get rid of any of the seat warning wiring. (125 Images)	Heater The heater box will be different from either an MGB or a TR-6. Clean out the crud inside, refresh the foam bits and straighten out any electrical issues. Luckily, this is a hidden box, not out in the open like on an MG. (70 Images)	Instruments Instrument panel will be replaced with something that is richer looking. I don't care for the stain on this one. Also, it appears a few of the instruments need a bit of attention. Update: since the old panel was too thin in spots, Steve Greenway was kind enough to create a perfect new panel with beautiful walnut veneer, matched across the full width. He only asked for a couple of pairs of carburetors rebuilt in exchange. (47 Images)	Wipers Wiper motor is the wrong finish and it may not have been disassembled and cleaned. It certainly isn't greased. (29 Images)
Interior The interior will be completely redone. Diane says Cream with black carpet, because of the other black trim. I'm thinking dark blue carpet... (23 Images)	Weather Equipment The covertible hood sticks and top. I will also be picking up a tonneau and a boot cover. (15 Images)
